How to find us
BY CAR FROM THE M3
Exit the M3 at Junction 6, signed for Basingstoke, and follow signs for the A339 Newbury. After around 6 miles, ignore the first sign to Kingsclere and turn left at the second sign to Kingsclere. Follow this road, George Street, as it bears right past the pub and into the village. Once you have passed the library on the right, but before you reach St Mary's church on the junction with Swan Street, Rope Yard will be on your left.
BY CAR FROM THE M4
Leave the M4 at Junction 13 for Newbury and follow signs for Newbury A339. Follow the A339 around Newbury towards Basingstoke. After approximately 9 miles, take the third exit right at the roundabout, following signposts to Kingsclere. This road bears left and then right to take you into the village. Once you pass the church on your left, turn right onto Swan Street and Rope Yard is around 100m up the hill on your right.
CAR PARKING
For parking, turn off George Street and onto Swan Street, where there are a group of parking bays opposite the church. If these are full, take the immediate left - before the shop - onto Anchor Road and you will see a free car park ahead. In the unlikely event that this car park is full, there is plenty of parking further up Anchor Road or at the Fieldgate Centre.
Those renting the Cottage or Loft have special direct access from the Yard to the Anchor Road car park via a security gate.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
A 45-minute train from Waterloo to Basingstoke or Overton operates frequently throughout the day. We are able to arrange transport from either station, though taxis are available at both.
